The campaign train of the Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) for presidential, national and state assemblies’ candidates was received yesterday by a mammoth crowd at Agasa-Uruvochinomi Junction, Okene, the country home of Governor Yahaya Bello.

The party stakeholders were led by Governor Bello in his continued efforts to galvanise votes for the party’s candidates at the presidential polls, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shetima as well as other candidates of the party in the state.

He assured the electorates of more people-oriented projects if the APC was voted back into office.

The governor who presented the party flags to candidates thanked the supporters for their loyalty and asserted that the achievements recorded by the present administration in execution of legacy projects would be small compared to what the APC government will consolidate when reelected into office.

Governor Bello, who canvassed support for the senatorial and House of Representatives candidates well as the state House of Assembly flag bearers, promised that they would not regret doing so. The governor urged the people to give their total support to all APC candidates as they did in 2019 to ensure continuation in its programmes.

Earlier, the director-general, Kogi State 2023 Presidential, Senatorial and State Assembly Campaign Council and the chief of staff to the governor, Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, thanked the supporters and assured them that the party had presented credible candidates to win the general elections.

In his own remarks, director-general, Kogi Central Campaign Council, Abubakar Adagu, described Governor Bello as a leader who is concerned about the well-being and growth of the party.

While acknowledging the governor’s effort at transforming the state, he said all theAPC candidates would be voted into office for more dividends of democracy.
