FMDQ Securities Exchange Limited has deepened access to long-term capital in Nigeria’s debt market with the listing of Valency SPV Plc’s N4.26 billion Series 1 Fixed Rate Bond, underscoring the growing role of the debt capital market in financing business growth.

The N4.26 billion 5-Year 21.00 per cent Series 1 Fixed Rate Bond was listed under Valency SPV Plc’s N50.00 billion Bond Issuance Programme, following approval by the Exchange’s Board Listings and Markets Committee.

The Exchange stated that “Valency SPV Plc is a special purpose vehicle established to raise capital through the debt capital markets. The proceeds from the Bond issuance will provide funding to support the Issuer’s financing objectives and business plans.

“The issuance was sponsored by FirstCap Limited as Lead Sponsor and Coronation Merchant Bank Limited, both Registration Members (Listings) of the Exchange.”

The Group chief operating officer, FMDQ Group Plc, Ms. Tumi Sekoni, said the listing highlights the importance of debt capital markets in providing issuers with access to long-term financing.

“By facilitating the listing of diverse fixed-income securities, FMDQ Exchange remains committed to providing a transparent and efficient marketplace that connects issuers with investors and advances the development of Nigerian financial markets,” Sekoni said.

Through a transparent, well-governed, and efficient marketplace, FMDQ Exchange continues to help issuers across sectors access the debt capital markets to meet diverse funding needs, including business expansion, refinancing, infrastructure development, and working capital requirements.
