Two missiles have reportedly struck Iran’s Qeshm Island, according to the country’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.
Tasnim reported on Saturday that initial information indicated that two missiles had hit the island, adding that there was no official information on possible damage.
The agency said further details would be released after relevant authorities confirmed the incident.
Earlier, Iran’s state news agency, IRNA, reported that local witnesses heard the sound of an aircraft over the island before two projectiles reportedly struck the Suza area.
The reported incident comes amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran and the United States.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s International Media Office has dismissed reports that Washington and Tehran had failed to reach an agreement to end the war.
In a statement on Saturday, the office described the reports as false and misleading, saying Qatar’s Prime Minister had confirmed that both countries were still working towards an agreement.
It added that Qatar’s mediation efforts were continuing in coordination with Washington and Tehran to support negotiations.
