A member of the House of Representative for Isiukwato-Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has urged the people of Abia to vote the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election.

This was even as she expressed confidence that the governorship candidate of the party in Abia State, Ikechukwu Emenike, will win the governorship election in the state scheduled for next month.

Onyejeocha who stated this while addressing her supporters during her ongoing ward to ward campaign in her constituency, said that recent developments in the state have shown that the people of Abia State have resolved to change the status quo.

Citing Tinubu’s recent visit to state and other states in the South East region, she said her confidence was reenforced after the Umuahia township rally.

She said, “This was a rally that I attended that the field was filled with human beings, not hired crowd and everybody sat. Nobody leave. until we left, people were still sitting. This is different from what was obtainable in the past where people come and soon as the candidate steps on the podium, everyone leaves.

“Every rally I have gone to, before the principal or candidate steps on the podium, everyone has gone. The only people that will be left but the case at the Umuahia township stadium is enough for people to understand that the narrative is changing for good”.

“What does that tell you? Abia is about to change. I can tell you Ikechukwu Emenike will win his election next month. We must vote this people out to free Abia from backwardness.”

Hon Onyejeocha who spoke extensively of her achievements under the APC and what the South East region has benefited so far from the present administration, urged the people to “appreciate the good efforts of the APC government.”
