No less than 29 opposition political parties under the aegis of theCoalition Of Political Parties in Lagos State (COPPILS) has endorsed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima for president.
Convener of the coalition, Hon. Akinola Obadia in his address at the endorsement ceremony held in Lagos, said they endorsed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) based on his track record.
The parties are AD, UPN, UPP, NPC, ACPN, CPN, BNPP, PPP, PPA, NUP, UP, LM, Mega Party, MMN, FJP, NCMP, GDPN, APA, AGAP, ID Party, RPN, Green Party, Hope Democrats, DA, C4C Party, NPM, and Independent Democrats.
Obadia said, “Today in Lagos State, we the opposition Registered and Deregisteted Political Parties under the umbrella of Coalition Of Political Parties (COPPILS) openly endorse Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu For President and Kashim Shettima as Vice President and for Reelection of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Governor and Dr. Obafemi Hamzat as Deputy Governor.”
Harping on the reasons for the endorsement, Obadia said, “The initiatives he brought into governance in Lagos State, to mention a few of the notable achievements are LASTMA LAWMA, LIRS, Neighbourhood Watch, LASRPA, LAMATA, among other agencies. And lastly his passionate love for the promotion of democracy, good governance and human capital.
“The principled patriotism of Asiwaju and his advancement of democratic ideas right from the days of NADECO, sustaining the principle, politics and legacies of Awoism as the only surviving AD governor in the South West in 2003 and his hands of fellowship with the North and Buhari in 2015 and leading the South to play national politics.
“For National Development and his consistent, monumental infrastructure growth in Lagos State, that qualify Lagos to stand on its own as a country are some of the planks to which we have based our decision to openly endorse His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Tinubu today as the best man for the job.to govern Nigeria and to take it out of the woods if he becomes the president come May 2023.”
Obadia added that, “Tinubu’s achievements as a governor in Lagos State is in public domain and we will not emphasise on that today.
Our major concern here is to let the people know Nigeria and Nigerians at large have a lot to gain if Asiwaju takes over the mantle of Leadership as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

“To mention a few of his numerous achievements include the Blue Rail line to ease commuters’ stress and reduce work hours being wasted on the roads.
