Two thousand, three hundred agents from across the three senatorial districts of Benue State have been trained to propagate and promote the adoption of e-Naira wallet in the state.

This came as the managing director/CEO of GOGETIT Investment Ltd, Comrade Orkuma Hembe, appealed to   all Benue people to adopt the use of e-Naira wallet, saying, every transaction involving e-Naira is free of charge, adding that it would put to rest naira abuse.

The one day training on the e-Naira Adoption and Agent Sensitisation facilitated by the GOGETIT Investment Ltd in conjunction with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) our correspondent gathered is to enable participants provide basic information and services of  e-Naira wallet to people and as well educate and register them on how to get and use the e-wallet app.

The chairman in an address of welcome said the trainees would be deployed to all the 23 local government areas for awareness creation.

He said, “The introduction of the e-Naira wallet by the Central Bank and its possible endorsement by President Muhammadu Buhari will eventually emancipate the Nigerian economy from the hands of the bourgeoise  class.

“We want to seek citizens’ support for adoption and acceptance of the e-Naira which will put an end to scarcity of naira,  corruption, queues in banks, using naira to buy naira as well as all the barriers in bank transactions including maintenance fee.”

He announced that the first trainee to register 200,000 people would automatically become state coordinator of e-Naira and be entitled to an official car, saying for every registration made by the trainee N20 will be credited to his or her accounts and as the registered person uses the account for over three times N10 would be credited to the trainee’s account.

Declaring the occasion open, the branch controller of the CBN, John Itoha,  disclosed that the e-Naira wallet which is the product of the Central Bank does not need Android phone for transactions to be done, that is why people at the remote areas can also be part of it and transaction can be done easily anywhere no matter how remote the place is.

While calling for its acceptability and adoption he urged participants to grab the opportunity and pass the message to others to enhance registration and participation.
