Emmanuel Lauds Voter Turnout, Peaceful Polls In A’Ibom

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom has commended peaceful conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Akwa Ibom state and the large voter turnout, and charged the electorates to remain vigilant to ensure their votes count.

Emmanuel, who doubles as the National Chairman of the Atiku/Okowa, Presidential Campaigns Council (PCC), voted at his country home at Awa Iman ward 1, in Onna Local Government Area,  expressed delight at the orderly conduct of the exercise and charged the officials to live up to their expectations in the delivery of credible polls’ outcome.

The governor who voted at about 10: 40 am, noted that he was impressed with the large turn out of the voters adding that he would give an update after some hours and lauded the voters for conducting themselves orderly.

The governor requested the voters to show their PVCs on arrival at the polling unit located at the Awa Iman TownHall, before retiring to his home to await the results.
