In a bid to ensure a hitch -free governorship and state assembly elections today, the federal government has ordered the total closure of all land borders.
The comptroller-general of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Mr. Isah Idris Jere, disclosed this in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja, saying the borders would be shut from today to Sunday.
Accordingly, all command comptrollers especially those in the border states were directed to ensure strict enforcement of the directive.
