Ebonyi Witnesses Early Arrival Of Election Materials As Voting Begins

The Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Ebonyi State witnessed early arrival of materials at the different polling units in Abakaliki, Ebonyi and Izzi local government areas of Ebonyi State as material were distributed at the different Registration Areas Centers as early as 7am.

When LEADERSHIP visited the Pa Ngele Orunta Township Staduim, unit 002 in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the State, there was low turn out of voters.

LEADERSHIP also observed that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, also worked very effectively at the polling units visited as accreditation of voters was done in less than 2 minutes.

There was heavy presence of security personnel at the different polling units visited. Speaking to LEADERSHIP, the Presiding officer, Edukwu Okemini polling unit Enyaanwu Igwe 002, Izzi local government area of the State, Miss Loveth Okoye said that materials arrived the polling booths as early as 8am.
