According to a press statement signed by the executive director, CDHI, Ms Blessing Olugbuyi in Abuja, the sensitisation was part of the activities to mark the 2023 International Adolescent Health Week.

“We educated adolescents on HIV prevention, sexually transmitted diseases and menstrual hygiene. Education, they say, saves lives and with education and proper awareness creation, we all can build a healthier and more inclusive future for all AYPs in their diversified Areas.

“Young people are at high risk of contracting HIV and other sexually transmitted infections as a result of their vulnerability. This is the reason Caritas Development and Health Initiatives (CDHI) carried out the sensitisation to diverse AYPs in Public university, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Uli Campus Anambra State, following support from NACA Nigeria and UNICEF Nigeria.
