By dint of hard work, Thembi Portia Shilenge worked her way from obscurity to popularity as she has become one of the leading figures in the spotlight in the South African cryptocurrency community.

An indefatigable personality, she is presently the President of Novus, an automated forex trading and cryptocurrency trading investment platform and CEO of the newly formed Crypto Dimension, after she left Binance where she worked for five years since 2016. But her reputation as an expert in trading and investing in cryptocurrency has been established and she will continue to be a force in the future.

Thembi Shilenge was born in rural Mmakaunyane in the North West Province of South Africa. Her primary and high school education took place in her village. In 2010, she graduated from Mabopane Secondary School and proceeded to Tshwane University of Technology, where she studied Chemical Engineering and graduated with a degree in B.Tech in 2014.

Her early work experience was in occupations that required her science background such as SABMiller, Department of Public Works, Kroondal Platinum Mine, Amalunga Minerals and Anglo Platinum. In these workplaces, she worked variously as a chemical engineer, chemical separator, water process controller and plant operator, among other roles.

Thembi Shilenge, however, engineered a career change that saw her soon treading the path of business and specifically in the emerging cryptocurrency sector.

Her experience over the next five years remained focused on that niche. In 2017, she worked variously with BitClub Network, Platinum Agency, and Questra World.

By 2018, she was working with Futurenet publishing, Nexus Global Limited and learning enterprises organisation Limited. Thembi Shilenge’s service to the organisations was in sales and marketing of insurance, investment and mining of crypto. All the while, she remained in the employ of Binance since 2016.
