Members of the Correspondent Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Jigawa State chapter have called on the state governor-elect Malam Umaru Namadi to uphold the culture of continuity by completing and building on all good works and projects started by his predecessor for social and economic development of the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the chairman of the chapel, Comrade Muh”d Zangina Kura in Dutse.
He said, “We all bear witness when the APC government came to power in 2015, it completed virtually all the projects it inherited from the PDP led government and awarded new ones.
“We do hope you will maintain the tempo and uphold continuity in moving the state forward.”
The union said in line with democratic tenets, which Nigeria adopted as its political process, leaders are produced through election and at the end of any election there will be a winner and loser while hope and opportunities remain open for everyone in the future.
“In view of that, members of the Jigawa State Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) hereby congratulate His Excellency, Jigawa State governor-elect, Malam Umar Namadi, for his victory at the last gubernatorial elections in the state.
“Malam Umar Namadi a former commissioner of finance and current deputy governor of the state is a man of integrity , moral discipline, selfless commitment, patriotism and compassion to humanity”
“Malam Umar Namadi is a rare politician who distinguished himself in public service and earned the reputation and confidence of people of Jigawa State in the last eight years”.
He described his election as the next Jigawa State governor as a clear testimony of his outstanding performance in public service, simplicity, loyalty and obedient to the rule of law.
