Agbo who used the occasion to launch her foundation the Grace Agbo Foundation (GAF), expressed her worry of the plight of IDPs which she said guided her decision to celebrate the occasion with them on her birthday, a day often set aside for personal thanksgiving to God.

“It gives me sleepless nights that our people have become refugees in their own country, due to no fault of theirs. I decided to reach out to the needy and encourage others to follow suit.”

On how she managed to avoid controversy, as well as wade of negative male advances being a member of the film industry she said, “The fear of God in me and knowing that I am public servant. There are codes and ethics I cannot disobey as a firefighter. These things help me behave well and stay focused.

“To the glory of God, I am able to cope with unserious advances with my serious mindedness. I am focused, so, before coming to me, not to be rude, but you must understand my personality. That’s how I have been able to cope with the male folk.
