Christ Ambassadors’ Fellowship, Lagos faith-based group has launched an educational fund geared towards sponsoring indigent children from primary to tertiary level.

The project named ‘Christ Ambassadors Education Endowment Fund’ (CAEEF) propelled by Christ Ambassadors’ Fellowship was launched on Saturday to raise funds for indigent children from the group and beyond.
Former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu who unveiled the project, admonished Nigerians to deploy human kindness and support the poor, make life meaningful and not allow them to go hungry as this has great rewards.
He noted that giving sacrificially may not be easy but it has got to be done as “Nothing we have on earth is for ourselves alone, it has got to be sown or given. We need to heal ourselves of giving. We forget the source of our wealth is from God, we forget the existence of people around us and we forget that there is eternal life. I appreciate the group for this initiative.’’
Harping on the Initiative, Ambassador Lekan Abdul, Chairman, CAEEF Committee, said it was aimed at keeping young children out of the streets and educating children.
Abdul said, “Our focus is on the education of smart, intelligent and purposeful children of the less privileged members of our fellowship from primary schools to tertiary level. With this fund each child will be sponsored by just one individual at various levels of education. This will enable us to give regular results on the performance of the child.
‘’ We will also be providing mentorship and guidance to these future leaders of our society. It must be remembered that quality leadership and guidance has positive effects on young people’s personal growth and development.”
The Keynote speaker, Olatunji Olajuyigbe, SAN, urged the audience at the event to reflect on the ideals of philanthropy and how we really give to people’s needs. Speaking on the theme: ‘The Spiritual and Metaphysical Benefits of Philanthropy’, Olajuyigbe noted that sacrificial giving is what touches God.
He said, “Many of us when we look at the conditions around us and we do a very good analysis of it. We see that the economy is bad and based on statistics, there is so much out of school children and what are we doing about this. Just like in the Parable of feeding five thousand men, Jesus never said okay, I’ve listened to this analysis. So you give them something to eat, in other words when you see the problems around you bad enough analysis of those problems. You need to become the solution.”
