Katsina APC, PDP Share Seats In Rerun Poll

Candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have emerged winners in the supplementary elections conducted in Kankia, Kurfi and Kankara local government areas (LGAs) of Katsina State.

The PDP won the Kankara constituency in the keenly contested election in the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared Salisu Rimaye of the APC winner of Saturday’s supplementary election for the Kankia constituency after he scored total votes of18,157 to defeat his closest rival, Abdullahi Ibrahim of the PDP who polled 16,763 votes.

The PDP candidate, Lawal Abdu Kankara, also emerged winner of the state House of Assembly seat for the Kankara constituency.
