An international Non-Governmental Organisation (iNGO), Search For Common Ground (SFCG) hosted a forum on conflict sensitive communication with relevant stakeholders in Nigeria.

The event took place on Wednesday in Abuja.

Fatima Madaki, head of National Projects at SFCG told LEADERSHIP that the aim of the stakeholder forum was to bring together ministries, departments and agencies of government (MDAs) working on preventing violent extremism and promoting Demobilization, Disassociation, Reintegration and Reconciliation (DDRR).

SFCG works to end violent conflict and build healthy, safe and just societies.

It is the largest global organisation dedicated to peacebuilding.

Stakeholders at the forum included representatives of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, as well as representatives from Adamawa and Borno State Governments, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), amongst others.
