The Caretaker Committee chairman of Bogoro local government area of Bauchi State, Markus Bitrus Lusa, has condemned the recent killing and chaos in Sang village of the council describing it as disturbing.
The chairman said this in a statement signed by the information officer of the local government, Gomna James and made available to reporters in Bauchi, yesterday.
He pledged that those behind the ugly act will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
Lusa also appealed to the people of Sang village to go about their normal business as normalcy has since been restored.
He equally called on them to work with government and security agencies with a view to finding lasting solutions to the problem.
While affirming that no form of hooliganism can be condoned, Markus Bitrus Lusa assured victims that the council is set to provide them with assistance to cushion their suffering.
LEADERSHIP recalls that one person was killed, several others wounded and 64 houses burnt in Sang, a community in Bogoro local government during the turbaning and installation of hamlet head for the community.
