Representative Beni Lar and other prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, received over 500 registered members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) into its fold.
The decampees are from Warok Ward in Langtang North Local Government Council of Plateau State.
It was gathered that the former APC members had trooped out as early as 8am before the arrival of the PDP LGAs leadership who received them into the party.
In attendance to welcome all the APC decampees is the member, representing Langtang North and Langtang South Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Beni Lar, the chairmanship candidate for the local government election, Ubandoma Joshua Laven, the party Excos and senior stakeholders of the PDP in the local government.
Hon Beni Lar, assured them of a more accommodating home that guaranteed general involvement of all political activities and its dividend across levels.
She promised them of more impact full representation with total commitment to their socio-economic development.
Beni called on the youth not to indulge on activities that would have negative impact on their future but to be good ambassadors in wherever the find themselves.
One of the decampees who spoke for others, Zingdap Miri, said: “We have been in the wilderness and like sheep without a shepherd. But thank God we are now back to a place, that we are more secured and has a political direction.”
