When contacted, the Anambra State Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga stated that although the hoodlums attacked the police station with Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, they however, did not take away any arms, and, did not whisky away any police personnel.

He stated that the hoodlums were successfully subdued by the superior fire-power of the operatives who engaged them, thereby forcing them to flee.

The state police spokesman stated further that operations were still ongoing in the area as at time he was reacting to sad development.
