The divisional police officer (DPO) in Bwari area council, Biodun Makunjiola, at the weekend paraded two suspected thieves of a
motorcycle in Bwari.
Parading the suspects, Makunjiola explained that they were arrested, while trying to escape with the stolen motorcycle, adding that efforts are ongoing to track down their receiver, identified as Audu.
He continued, “We are still looking for the receivers of the motorcycles and the person who provides them with fake receipt to
facilitate the deposing off of stolen items. Both of them are reported to be living in Dakwa along Zuba.”
The suspects, Musa Muhammed and Dan Lami Muhammed, who reside in Shada in Kwali area council are said to be operating in brothels in Suleja and Gwagwalada to steal motorcycles, before they were invited to Bwari by a friend.
LEADERSHIP gathered that Musa was arrested in 2016 in a related case of theft and had confessed of being in operation for over three years.
Our reporter also gathered that the owner of the motorcycle, Aruna Abdullahi Ijakoro, from Niger State had parked his motorcycle outside First Bank office, to deposit money when the two suspects unchained the motorcycle.
Ijakoro, who saw them unchaining the motorcycle, alerted the police and they were arrested by mobile police officers on duty, along Zenith Bank area in Bwari.
