Food and drink vendors were busy, attending to a steady stream of customers eager to refresh themselves during the day’s festivities.

Miss Iris Isioma, who visited with her boyfriend, said she came to unwind and enjoy quality time with her loved one.

“I’ve been looking forward to this day. It’s been a stressful week, so I’m glad to relax here with my boo.
“This is my first visit, and I’m so excited. I plan to make lovely memories, especially with my boo,” she added with a smile.
Mr Joseph Ebele, a businessman and father of four, wanted to spend quality time with his family in a calm setting.

“I’ve been eager for today. It’s great to be with family in such a serene environment,” he said.

He described the park as perfect for enjoying nature and the outdoors, which he said was good for the soul.

Mr Ikechukwu Osuwah, a job seeker, said he came to the park to relax and refresh his mind.

“I just wanted to sightsee, have fun and possibly meet new people,” he said.

He added that he looked forward to enjoying the peaceful environment and clearing his thoughts.

A park official requested anonymity and said the park draws large crowds daily, regardless of public holidays.

“The large turnout isn’t unusual. The park’s high standards keep attracting visitors,” the official stated.

He said the park’s location, safety, and clean surroundings make it a daily destination for many fun seekers. (NAN)
