Okesina described VVF as an abnormal opening between the urinary system and the virgina usually after a prolonged labour not attended by skilled personnel .
She disclosed that every year , Nigeria records about 20,000 cases of women having this condition “and to repair this condition, it takes about five thousand women per year, meaning that it would almost take one hundred years to repair all the women that have this condition”.
