JUST-IN: Tinubu Confers Posthumous National Honours On 4 Ogoni Leaders

President Bola Tinubu has conferred posthumous national honours on four prominent Ogoni leaders in recognition of their sacrifice and contributions to Nigeria’s democratic struggle.

Those honoured were late Chief Edward Kobani, late Chief Albert Badey, late Chief Samuel Orage, and late Chief Theophilus Orage, who were each awarded the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).

The late Ogoni leaders, remembered as part of the vanguard that resisted oppression in the Niger Delta, were killed in 1995.
