The Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Mohammed Akaro Mainoma, has lauded the member representing Kokona East constituency at the state legislature, Daniel Ogah Ogazi for embarking on projects that have direct bearing on the people of his constituents.
Porf. Mainoma gave the task at the weekend in Keffi, while reviewing a book titled “Journey Chronicle of an Enigma in honour of the member, written by a Non Governmental Organisation” Good Culture Good Habit Initiative Africa, on the achievements of the lawmaker in last 2 years in office.
According to him, the projects embarked upon by the lawmaker especially in the area of rural electricitification, bridges/boreholes construction, scholarship, other constituents empowerment programmes had impacted positively on the lives of the people of the constituency.
“The book also made it clearly on how Ogazi was a transformer and worthy representative by securing a N90million contract for the construction of 19 culverts and building of bridges in Kokona local government area of the state.
“If politicians and other political office holders will fulfill their campaign promises as done by Ogazi, it would go a long in improving on the lives of the people as well as will earn them more support, confidence from the electorates and will also bring peace and national development,” he said
The Vice Chancellor also urged the youths and other Nigerians to be agent of positive change in life and not to lose hope in their struggle, adding that Ogazi started as Okada rider and a taxi driver to get to his present position.
Also speaking, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi described Ogazi as a lawmaker full of wisdom and urged other politicians to emulate him in the interest of development.
Balarabe Abdullahi, who was represented by Alhaji Muluku Agah, (APC-Nassarawa Eggon East) urged the lawmaker not to relent in his efforts towards developing his constituency and the state at large.
Earlier, the Vice President of Good Culture Good Habit Initiative Africa, BabaTunde Olanrewaju, said that the organization has decided to write the book on Ogah Ogazi, considering his laudable achievements to the development of the state and the country at large.
“This book project Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi as a shining examples for the “not too young to run” campaigns. He is voice of the voiceless and a worthy representative and a fast learner of parliamentary procedures and participating in robust debates on motions, bills and other matters of public interest brought before the lawmakers.
Responding, Ogah Ogazi, who is the house Deputy Majority leader and Chairman, House Committee on Education appreciated Gov. Al-makura, his colleagues and the electorates for the continued support and encouragement to enable him succeed in delivering the much needed dividend of democracy to the electorates.
