Real Estate Tycoon, Wale Ponnle, Receives ILMMD Fellowship, Honorary Doctorate

The Institute of Leadership, Manpower and Management Development (ILMMD) has conferred its distinguished Fellowship and Honorary doctorate on renowned Lagos real estate tycoon, Babawale Ponnle.

This was contained in a letter sent by the institute to the business tycoon with the subject, “Notice of Conferment of the Distinguished Fellowship of the ILMMD and Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa); in Recognition of your Illustrious Contribution to the Growth of Leadership, Society and the Development of ILMMD.”

The letter, signed by Dr. Theophilus Cornerstone Okonofua, Dean and Director of Membership Services, ILMMD, said: “On behalf of the aforementioned professional body, it is my honor to present to you, your letter of admission into this professional body as Distinguished Fellow and Lifetime Member.”

So far, the ILMMD has already recognised and honoured over 1,200 persons both within and outside Nigeria with its distinguished Fellowship.

Reacting to the honour, Ponnle said: “I am privileged to have been honored by the distinguished Institute of Leadership, Manpower and Management Development (ILMMD), one of the organizations at the forefront of driving leadership and human capital development in West Africa.

“Nigeria remains deep in a chronic housing crisis with a home deficit of 28 million units in 2023. Bridging this gap requires not just the technical and financial capacity of the real estate industry, but also visionary leadership that can spur stakeholders into quick action.”

Wale Ponnle is the Chief Operating Officer of Gracias Global Homes & Properties Ltd, a real estate firm that has provided functional homes and affordable serviced plots to almost 5,000 subscribers. He is also the Co-Founder of Peak Global Network, a growing community of seasoned Real Estate Marketers.

Before being named the COO in October 2020, Wale was an expert Business Development and Online Marketing Consultant who has contributed to the success of over 1,000 SMEs in areas of business structure and workflow processes development.

In October 2023, he received the Nelson Mandela leadership award of excellence from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), becoming a West African Youth Ambassador.
