The TY Danjuma Foundation and the Federal Ministry of Health have taken giant strides towards building partnership to provide health care services to the people of Ebonyi State in 2018.
It was gathered that the surgical mission shall be in fulfillment of the vision of the foundation as well as those of the ministry while expanding the scope of its interventions across Nigeria.
The chief executive officer, TY Danjuma Foundation, Dr. Sunday Udoh, in a meeting held at the Ministry of Health office, told the minister of State for Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire of the foundation’s intention to conduct a free surgical mission to Ebonyi State for indigent persons in 2018.
The minister of State for Health responded to the partnership request; noting that the Federal Ministry of Health has carried out similar free health interventions in states across Nigeria and has acquired experiences that can support and shape the planned project by the TY Danjuma Foundation.
Featured in the meeting were presentations by the foundation and valuable contributions by directors of the Ministry of Health.
LEADERSHIP gathered that subsequent meetings of a constituted technical committee shall hold to further sharpen and clear out grey areas towards the eventual implementation of the project.
