Beauty therapist and entrepreneur, Salami Bolatito Elizabeth, said, “2021 is a year to restart most businesses” She added, “The Covid-19 lessons of 2020 will be implemented in 2021 going forward, and presently we are seeing paradigm shift in business and sales models,” she averred.
Explaining further, Salami said: “For example, the use of social media for business purposes is not new, but in 2020 because of flexibility and creativity with the use of Social Media, business organizations and the global lockdown of human activities were not adversely affected”
Using as an example, her business, Zanzee Spa Beauty and Style, known popularly by its Instagram handle, @zanzeespabeautynstyle, as she pointed out that Instagram and Whatsapp has become the primary marketing medium and preferred sales tool.
“The Instagram is the space where I advertise and show off my stock to the almost 400, 000 followers @zanzeespabeautynstyle. But once the engagements move into the transactional phase, we switch to Whatsapp for prompt responses. I can say with certainty that more than 60 per cent of our sales happen on Instagram and Whatsapp.”
On what should be expected from her exclusive boutique before the end of the year, she said: “Zanzeespabeautynstyle is in a state of constant motion. We have established our presence physically in Lagos and Abeokuta. We are looking forward to extending our reach to major cities across Nigeria. Although at the moment, there is no part of the country that we don’t cover.”
She continued: “We are also working towards new collections to be unveiled in the second half of the year. And also, our Zanzee Black Friday sales will be bigger and better this year.”
