1,000 Beneficiaries Receive Start-up Kits From Lawmaker In Kano

No fewer than 1,000 beneficiaries have received start-up kits from Yusuf Umar Datti, the House of Representatives member representing Kura-Madobi-Garunmalam federal constituency in Kano State.

The event took place yesterday in Kano where beneficiaries received four cars, three tricycles, 50 motorcycles and 1000 bags of fertiliser. Others received 50 sewing machines and 50 water pumps for farming.

There are also those among the beneficiaries that received 50 grinding machines; three youths received N500,000 each, and another set of 150 women got N30,000 each.

Delivering an address during the event, Datti explained that the programme was designed to support the economic well-being of his constituents.

“As their representative, I see it as my duty to create sustainable initiatives that would improve the quality of life of the people”, he stated.

He further spoke on some executed projects as well as ongoing projects that include renovation of the General Hospital in Kura, feeder road construction, construction of primary school classrooms as well as installation of solar powered boreholes in the constituency.

One of the beneficiaries who received a car for transportation business Datti Danmairogo, described it as his dream come true.

“This car is a dream come true to me. I am truly grateful to Honorable Datti for this empowerment,” he stated.

Representing the state governor Abba Yusuf, the commissioner for Science and Technology, Yusuf Ibrahim commended the lawmaker for putting smiles on the faces of the people.
