The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), has commended the Sultan of Sokoto and president of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, for his exemplary leadership in promoting peace and unity across Nigeria.
It said that as the holy month of Ramadan approaches and the Sultan marks his 10th year on the throne of the Sokoto Sultanate, a highly influential traditional institution in West Africa, KACRAN recognizes his significant contributions to national cohesion.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP, the national president of the Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), Hon Khalil Mohamed Bello, stated that the association acknowledged the Sultan’s pivotal role in bridging a decades-long divide among Nigerian Muslims and fostering unity within the Muslim community.
Hon Khalil noted the previous fragmentation of the community led to differing dates for Ramadan commencement and Eid celebrations and praised the Sultan’s efforts in achieving near-universal alignment on these important religious observances.
KACRAN also recognised the Sultan’s success in revitalizing Jama’atu Nasrul Islam, establishing it as a leading Islamic organisation in Nigeria and beyond.
According to him, the association emphasized the Sultan’s work in building bridges of understanding and mutual respect between people from the northern and southern regions of Nigeria.
He called on other traditional rulers and political leaders to emulate the Sultan’s exemplary leadership in fostering peace, understanding, and unity among Nigerians.
The association extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Sultan on his decade of remarkable service and prayed for his continued success in the years to come.
