10th Assembly: Forum Backs Izunaso For Senate President

The Natiomal Young Progressive Forum (NYPF) has thrown weight behind the aspiration of Senator Osita Izunaso (SOI), the pioneer National Organizing Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the position senate president in forthcoming 10th National Assembly.

According to the group, Izunaso’s antecedent as one of the founding progressive leaders who has worked tirelessly in the formation of the APC and a man with deep political credential with rare requisite legislative knowledge needed for job.

 

In a statement signed by the national coordinator, Alhaji Sulaiman Talba and director media and publicity, Kayode Lawal, the forum maintained that the tenth assembly need a man of impeachable character like Osita Izunaso with incomparable leadership qualities who has no criminal or any corrupt change against him while he was in the public offices.

The forum also appreciate the political capacity, deep progressive prowess of Osita Izunaso as one of the few leaders from APGA block from the four major political parties that collapsed their structures into the formation of the APC and a personality who gave his best in seeing to the birth of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2013.

 

 

The statement said, “Osita Izunaso, as he is the best man for the job amongst the elected Senators from the South East region and need to support the Zone to present their best and clinch the number three position, in the interest of unity, National cohesion, balancing of power sharing amongst the Six (6) Geo-Political Zones of the country.

 

 

Our believe is that his candidature will be generally accepted Nationwide… Senator Osita Izunaso is a nationalist , selfness leader, and detribalised citizen as well as pan Nigerian who possessed all the attributed needed to function effectively in the office as the senate president”.

 

“As a focus South-East Progressive leader of the the APGA extraction, who was the pioneer Party Organizing Secretary and who later became the first substaintial National Organizing Secretary (NOS) of the APC at its first National Convention in 2014 before the 2015 Presidential/General Elections that brought His Excellency, President Muahmmadu Buhari as the first elected President under the platform of our great Party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).

 

Senator Osita Izunaso’s deep political credential and network of friends across the country gave him necessary political connection, building of relationship and made him popularity amongst the leaders across the country, hence, the overwhelming support from leaders who gave him all needed mobilization, supports and votes at the Convention as the APC first National Organizing Secretary from inception as a Political Party”, it added

 

 

The forum said his administrative capacity provided him needed opportunities in managing the conduct and organization of the various Party Congresses, Party Primary Elections as well as other capacity in handling other National Assignment at the different Elections Seasons and during staggered polls that were observed and adjudged by local and international groups to be credible, fair, and freest in the Political History of Nigeria and in accordance with the laid down Party Guidelines.
