The chairman of Bokkos local government area in Plateau State, Hon. Amalau Samuel, has commissioned the long-awaited Sikyen Cottage Hospital to ensure the provision of quality medical services to the people at the grassroots.

LEADERSHIP reports that the commissioning was historic and fulfilled a long-standing dream that has taken 19 years to materialize.

The chairman expressed deep gratitude to Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his unwavering commitment to healthcare development at the grassroots.

He called on the community to take full ownership of the facility while stressing the importance of protecting and supporting the hospital’s infrastructure.

“Guard this facility with all your heart, for it is your own. Cooperate with the healthcare workers and provide them with the necessary support to ensure that this hospital effectively serves its purpose,” he said.

Meanwhile, the acting Sàff Ron-Kulere, His Royal Highness Da. Lawrence Aizat, lauded the government’s intervention, describing it as a monumental feat that will not only enhance healthcare access but also stimulate economic growth in the region.
