The suspects were arrested along with two other accomplices, Imrana Ibrahim and Zakariya’u Isa.

LEADERSHIP reports that the case, now treated as a case of culpable homicide, Polmi was severely beaten during an altercation involving him and the assailants at his workstation.

He was rushed to ATBUTH for medical treatment but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Confirming the incident, Bauchi Police Command spokesperson CSP Ahmed Wakil said that findings indicate that the confrontation stemmed from accusations of theft involving a tenant’s clothing and personal belongings.

He said all four suspects are now in police custody, assisting with the investigation.

Wakil added, “The commissioner of police has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to leave no stone unturned in unravelling the circumstances of the attack.

“This is a serious case; we will ensure justice is served.”

Wakil said Polmi’s body had been deposited at the ATBUTH mortuary pending further examination.
