Two persons have lost their lives in an auto- crash in Anambra State.
The incident occurred at 7.30am at Oba junction on Idemili-Orafite Road in Ekwusigo local government area of the state yesterday.
The crash involved two trucks one of which had white colour and the other blue colour but none of them had registration number.
A source at the scene of the accident narrated that one of the victims was trapped in one of the two vehicle while the other was taken to a mortuary in Orafite.
The sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi confirmed the auto-crash and said that two male adults lost their lives in the accident adding that while one of the victims was taken to a mortuary in Orafite the other was trapped in one of the vehicles at the accident scene.
He expressed sympathy with the family members of the deceased and advised the motoring public to inculcate the habit of obeying the traffic rules.
He particularly cautioned motorists against having divided attention while driving so as to avoid losing control behind the wheel.
“Efforts were being made towards removal of the trapped victim with extricating machine. The name of the driver of the white FORD truck is Mr Azan Alire, while the Blue truck belongs to NUPENG,” the FRSC boss stated.
