Police personnel have arrested Shehu Isah, a 45-year-old resident of Karofi, Kirfi local government area of Bauchi State, for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her in his room.

The police public relations officer (PPRO) at Bauchi Command, CSP Ahmed Wakil, confirmed this to journalists in Bauchi yesterday.

He further explained that one Shafi’u Sule, a resident of Katsinawa Tabulawa of Ningi local government, was also arrested for allegedly raping a teenage girl.

Wakil said Sule’s victim reportedly went missing before she was later found to be in the custody of her victim.

He said, “Investigation into the case revealed that the suspect threatened to cut off the victim’s tongue and burn her alive if she dared to shout for help.
