Reports indicate that the deceased were trapped in a pit dug for bunkering when it collapsed.

According to the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Odutola Omolola, one of the deceased has been identified as “Super Asogbon,” while the identity of the other remains unknown. Both bodies have been deposited at the Ajebandale morgue for identification and post-mortem examination.

Preliminary investigations suggest that residents of the community might be involved in the illegal activity, as a deep pit for bunkering was discovered at the scene. Further details and information regarding the cause of the pit collapse are currently under investigation.
