Students implored To Show Interest In Scientific Advancement

Director Centre for space Science and Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Dr. Ganiyu Ishola Agbaje, has urged students to take interest in scientific advancement in order to give birth to a new trend for technologically inclined generation.

Represented by Head of Department, Dr. Mofoluso Fagbeja at the launching of space science club at Welkin International School, Atan Ota, Ogun state he said this has become necessary because interest in science is waning by the Day.

Chairman Welkin International School Mr. Adedayo Beckley, in his welcome address at the launching noted that the concept was based on resolve to tinker with the passion of youngsters for scientific advancement.

According to Beckley, “The love for sciences made me to influence the young ones on the need to be scientifically inclined”.

He explained further that, “The aim of the competition is to provide pupils with a venue to exhibit their skills in solving science – based problems, come up with new ideas, learn new concepts from present day areas of scientific research to enhance technology.”

Also speaking winner of the inaugural competition, Master Amah Isreal attributed the feat to a dint of hard work.
