A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recent primary election in Edo State, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Akhabue, yesterday, resigned his membership of the party.

In his resignation letter addressed to the party chairman in ward 7 of Esan West local government area, Akhabue said he left PDP because of the glaring prejudicial activities of the party’s leadership.

In the letter which was copied to the local government chairman, senatorial chairman, state chairman and the National Working Committee (NWC), of the party, Akhabue said “I write to formally notify the party through your office of my resignation as member of the Peoples Democratic Party henceforth.

“My decision to resign is born out of the glaring prejudicial activities of the party’s Leadership against my fair, reasonable and continuous participation as a member of the party.

Similarly, an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in the state, Dr. Victoria Amu, also resigned her membership of the APC.
