The Estu Kwali, HRH Audu Shaban NIzozo(III),has charged traditional rulers in Kwali area council to live up to their responsibilities and to assist in maintaining peace at their various domains.
Nizozo, who gave the charge during the coronation ceremony of ethnic chiefs in his palace, at the weekend, explained that the traditional institution is involving all ethnic groups in the area, to ensure the cooperation of all residents, especially in managing crisis.
“We want to ensure that all ethnic groups are represented here in the area council, to have their full cooperation in crisis management. It is a long existing practice, but we want to reinforce that for the progress of the area.
Abuja is a melting point for all ethnic groups in the country and to be able to effectively run the affairs of the council, every hand must be on deck for us to progress.”
LEADERSHIP gathered that four illustration sons of Kwali were turbaned for various positions, which include, Hon. Ibrahim Tara, as Galadiman Kwali, Hon. Iliya Nizazo, as Magajin Kwali, Godwin Kyai, as Sarkin Yanma, and Malam Mohammed Kura, as Majidadin Kwali. Also, three other persons from Yoruba, Jukun and Fulani ethnic groups were equally turbaned.
Speaking on behalf of the newly turbaned chiefs, Iliya Nizazo expressed his gratitude to the people of Kwali, noting that their mandate was to unite sons and daughters of Kwali for the progress of the council.
