C/River Health Boss To Receive Mandela Pan African Humanitarian Award in Morocco



All is now set for the Advisory Board of Pan-African Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (PALEDEC) to confer the Mandela/ Pan-African Humanitarian Award of excellence on the Director General, Cross River State primary health care Development Agency, Dr. Betta Edu before the year winds off.

The award which is in partnership with the Moroccan International
Centre for Diplomacy will be bestow on the health boss for her
numerous contribution towards the promotion/ upliftment of primary
health delivery services in the country.

A letter titled Pan- African Humanitarian Summit/Award 2018:
Invitation as an Awardee and Guest Speaker addressed to Edu stated
that apart from Edu being an award recipient at the ceremony, Edu is
to also serve as guest speaker at the event billed to hold in Rabat,
Morocco, before the end of the year adding that the award of honor on
Edu was in recognition of numerous contributions in the development of
primary health care delivery services in the country.

The letter reads, ”The award category is for the barest and most daring as well as the most strategically sound forward-looking with measurable achievement in championing progressive socio-economic community development.

The notification letter which is signed by top member of the board
stated that Edu shall speak on the theme: Africa my home, an inclusive
participation for Africa Development at the ceremony, stated, “The
conferment is based on your outstanding leadership qualities,
exceptional contribution and persistent effort in health sector to
Africa’s Development several bold policies and innovative initiatives
geared towards building a regionally integrated and globally competitive health system in Cross River State and by extension Nigeria and Africa”

“This noble pace has set you apart as a role model for others to follow.

According to the letter, the ceremony will draw leaders from Government, captain of industries, business men from 42 countries of the world to identify barriers to humanitarians issues, peace and socio-economic development in Africa to provide effective and innovative ways of addressing issues.

But in a swift reaction to the honor, Edu stated that she was shocked when she received the letter of notification that her name was among
individuals to be honored with the prestigious award of honor.

“I didn’t belief my eyes when the notification letter got to me that I
am to receive the honor in Morocco, not only the award but to be a guest speaker. It’s the hand handwork of God.
