Ahead of the commencement of the 2023 Hajj exercise, facilitators from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah are expected in the Nigerian capital city, Abuja, next week to train 90 Nigerians on hajj management.
Towards this end and to ensure a hitch free workshop and training programme, the chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, yesterday inaugurated a committee saddled with the responsibility of preparing for the conduct of the proposed Training/Workshop.
Inaugurating the committee headed by the deputy director of training and staff development, Ibrahim Mahmud Idris, Hassan said Nigeria was the only country chosen in Africa for such a programme and tasked the members of the committee not to leave any stone unturned in achieving success.
According to him, 60 out of the 90 trainees that will participate in the workshop will come from across the states while NAHCON will provide the remaining 30 trainees with 20 of them coming from the headquarters and spread across the zones.
