Civil society groups, Concerned Nigerian Network in Diaspora and Rebuild Nigeria, have declared that the 2023 general elections would portend a good beginning for the continent’s liberation and development.
The president of one of the groups, Concerned Nigerian Network in Diaspora, Ambassador James Erebuoye, speaking on behalf of the Coalition, made the declaration Tuesday in Abuja while speaking with select journalists.
He said the movement worldwide, after a series of meetings and consultations with informed Nigerians, politicians and stakeholders at home and abroad, have taken a stand on which among the presidential candidates to give their support to.
According to him, this will enable their supporters to know whom they should vote for in the elections.
“The groups are known to have played very important roles at home and abroad in mobilising voters for their endorsed presidential candidate. This time, we will do our best to ensure that we, our members, supporters and well-wishers don’t throw our votes away. It’s very important to make wise choices this time around to give the citizens a lot of hope in the Nigerian project,” he said.
