The spokesperson of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Dino Melaye has blamed Nigeria’s current Security and economic challenges for what he termed poor electoral sensitization in 2015 and 2019.
Former lawmaker, who was a keynote speaker at an event organized by pro -PDP group in Abuja, to enlighten the electorate in vote buying and on the need to vote right in the coming election.
He said,” Th challenge Nigeria is facing today is because we did not get it right, therefore Nigeria cannot be great.
“We don’t need anybody to tell us that Nigerians are suffering from economical malnutrition, security malfunctioning, and social vices.
In her welcome address, the National Coordinator of PVRA/Glad to lead foundation, Mrs. Gladys Ashemuke explained that as PDP voters ambassadors, we are prepared to help the electorate in the forthcoming general elections by sensitizing the on the need to vote right candidate and without right voting and candidate, we can never get it right because if we don’t have right people in the policy-making, we would not have the headway.
Speaking on Structures, she said “We have our structure from national, state, LG to unity level. We have been doing a lot of sensitization in markets, mechanic and motor park in Abuja and I told them the need for them not to be sentimental when it comes to vote the right candidate in the right party
While Speaking on the internal party crisis, the former governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’Azu Babangida Aliyu said we lost the Ekiti State election because of internal party wrangling otherwise we should have won the election, adding that people are waiting for PDP to take over 2023 but we still have a lot to do.
Similarly, a former lawmaker and activist, said in respect to internal wrangling within the party, he advised that if an aspirant lost a primary election, it is only natural to support the one who won the election.
