Former national vice chairman (South) of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Eddy Olafeso, has called on Nigerians to use the opportunity presented by the 2023 general election to vote enmasse for their party in order to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Olafeso who stated this while inaugurating the Ekiti State PDP Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC) in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday urged the members to work for the unity of the party to wrestle power from APC at the polls.

The PDP stalwart, who also inaugurated the State Campaign Council and the State Campaign Management Committee, said Nigerians witnessed the worst Christmas ever in the history of the country this year.

He charged the voting public to use their PVCs to send the APC-led government packing and vote for Atiku Abubakar  and Ifeanyi Okowa who are the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the PDP in the election.

While condemning the leadership styles of the APC whom he said has plunged Nigeria into numerous challenges, Olafeso said, “This election and issue is about all of us  and our future, it is not just about APC, PDP and others.

“We must sue for peace and unity in our party. The PDP winning teams in Lagos, Osun, Oyo and Ogun states have risen up and said they will work for Atiku’s victory in the election.
