Yusuf who gave the directives during a meeting with the police management team on the kick off of the campaigns for 2023 election said the ban on quasi security outfits at political rallies was handed down by the IGP, as such outfits have no legal roles under the Electoral Act.

The CP however, charged police personnel to display professionalism and commitment to duty during the political campaigns.

He also used the forum to warn them to desist from partnering with bandits or criminal syndicates, otherwise they will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

“As we know the security situation of Zamfara State, we ought to be fully committed to overcome challenges and ensure the return of peace in the state”, he added.
