Wife of the PDP presidential candidate, Titi Atiku Abubakar has urged supporters of the party in Bauchi, especially the youths and women to go into the nooks and crannies of the grassroots to enlighten the populace and canvass votes for the party ahead of the general election.

Titi Abubakar, who was in Bauchi weekend to grace the Women Empowerment Programme launch initiated by the state first lady, Dr. A’isha Bala Mohammed, said that the PDP-led federal government if voted into power would accord priority to youths and women development.

Titi, while addressing the crowded Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stadium (ATBS), venue of the empowerment launch, noted that the bad economic policy has subjected the majority of Nigerians, particularly youths and women into abject poverty with households hardly enjoying one square meal a day.

According to her, the PDP administration under her husband would uplift the country from its present economic doldrums, prevailing insecurity, endemic corruption and the social vices that have eaten deep into the fabrics of the Nigerian society and chart a way forward for Nigeria to get out of the woods.

She expressed optimism that her husband would emerge victorious in next month’s presidential elections, and assured that on assumption to office, the PDP-led federal government would evolve a comprehensive skills acquisition programme that could be tailored to arrest the unemployment trend in the country.

Also, the wife of the state governor, Dr. A’isha Bala Mohammed commended the Bauchi women for their good turnout to the event, and urged them to vote for all PDP candidates in all elective offices.
