An Abuja-based businessman and political activist, Alh Sabitu Mohammed Yahaya has predicted peace and prosperity as well as uncommon transformation for Katsina State if the governorship candidate of the All-Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Dikko Umaru Radda is elected governor of the North-West state in the forthcoming general elections.
Alh. Yahaya who hails from Katsina stated this in an interview with Leadership on the sideline of a fundraising dinner organized for the Katsina State APC governorship candidate in Abuja yesterday.
The Katsina State APC governorship candidate who is a former Director-General of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDEN is flying the APC flag with Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe as his running mate.
Alh. Yahaya told Leadership that Dr Dikko Radda is a visionary leader with uncommon foresight who has a long history of excellence in public service.
According to him, the governorship candidate’s wealth of experience and legacy at SMEDEN shows he has the capacity to take Katsina State to higher pedestal if elected governor.
Said Yahaya: “I have known His Excellency, Dr Dikko Umaru Radda for more than fifteen years now; and he has never failed in any assignment given to him at all. His scorecard at SMEDEN is just one out of many examples; and Nigerians in general and Katsina people in particular can attest to his footprints. So, he has been tested; and has proven to be a trusted and dependable leader; and that is exactly what Katsina State needs at this critical time.”
Alh. Yahaya also added that the All-Progressives congress, APC as a party has not failed katsina State, stressing that numerous projects such as rail lines linking many parts of the North-West state confer advantages on Katsina State whose people are enterprising.
The businessman further urged Katsina people to keep faith with the APC and elect Dr Dikko Radda so as to consolidate on the gains recorded in the state by the combined efforts of the APC under president Muhammadu Buhari and governor Aminu Bello Masari.
