The Yobe State Pilgrims Commission has been allocated with a total of 1,960 seats for the year 2024 Hajj exercise by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The Executive Chairman of the State Pilgrims Commission, Mai Aliyu Usman, stated this while briefing the Commission’s top management, local government fare collectors and other Hajj Stakeholders in his office in Damaturu, Yobe state Capital.
He urged those who made deposit in respect of the 2024 Hajj to ensure that their Hajj deposits amount to N3.5m before the computations and announcement of the final 2024 Hajj fares by NAHCON.
He explained that due to current realities, the Hajj cost is projected to go upward and therefore stressed the need for the Intending Pilgrims to top up their deposit and await the final announcement of the 2024 Hajj fares by NAHCON.
Mai Aliyu disclosed that the education and orientation exercise of intending Pilgrims is expected to commence soon.
