2026: Ogunbiyi Unveils Plan For Osun

Ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State, an aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, has said that he is well equipped to make the state a successful entrepreneurial state if voted as its next governor.

Ogunbiyi, who expressed this capability to newsmen in Osogbo after he met with local government chairmen elected on the platform of APC in Osogbo yesterday, noted that as a member of the Osun Development Association (ODA), he has a masterpiece on how Osun should be developed.

“I went to the University of Yale to go and learn LEADERSHIP in public places for a whole year in 2017 before I came, so, I’m well qualified, when you look at the antecedent, you will see that of all the people that have come out, Akin Ogunbiyi stand tall and by God’s grace I’ll avail that to the services of Osun State.

“I will turn the situation around from Osun being called the civil servants’ state to being called the most prosperous and entrepreneurial State in Nigeria”

He expressed his confidence that he would emerge as the party’s flag bearer, judging from his acceptance by party men and the people of Osun since he embarked on consultations across the state.

“This is the third time I aspire to be the state governor, so I’m not new to them.
They know what I have been doing the last three years I have been with APC, so it is nothing new to them.

I was well received and we discussed things of importance that will bring progress to APC and ultimately deliver the party ticket, god willing, to me, and of course, if we have the party ticket, by God’s grace, we’ll win the 2026 election.

While expressing optimism that, as a unifying factor among all the candidates, he added that he believes all the candidates will rally to support him if he emerges as the party’s flag bearer, he said the contest is not a do-or-die matter.
