The vice presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, on Monday afternoon, visited Senator Dino Melaye at the latter’s private residence in Abuja.
The courtesy visit, according to both ADC stalwarts, was to strengthen the party’s bond ahead of the 2027 general election.
Amaechi was accompanied on the visit by the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Usani; a former federal lawmaker, Hon. Herma Hembe, and other close associates of the immediate-past Minister of Transportation.
Melaye, a former two-time member of the National Assembly and a close ally of ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was joined by the Kogi State secretary of ADC, Hon. S.O. Adeleye, to recieve Amaechi and his encourage on arrival at his Maitama residence.
Both leaders rubbed minds for about 30 minutes, reiterating their resolve to ensure unity of purpose and cooperation for ADC’s success at the 2027 polls. Other stakeholders present, like Pastor Usani, also bared their minds on the way forward.
Responding, Melaye, who particularly thanked Amaechi for the visit, admonished the ADC vice presidential candidate to be accessible to all stakeholders and carry everyone along at all levels for a seamless electioneering campaign ahead of the presidential election.
LEADERSHIP reports that Amaechi’s visit to Melaye was a continuation of his meeting with critical ADC stakeholders across the country in order to foster unity and cooperation since his emergence as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate for 2027 presidential election.
