As the 2027 election approaches, the BAT Ideological Group, a coordinating body of supporters for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has donated a website to the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) to facilitate easy registration and coordination of all members and support groups.

This initiative aims to consolidate efforts under a single umbrella, thereby reducing logistical costs associated with travelling to Abuja for meetings and registration. It will also assist in promoting the President’s policies and political strategies, ensuring that coordinated actions and strategies prevent working at cross purposes.

According to Comrade Bamidele Atoyebi, the convener of the BAT Ideological Group, the website will serve as a digital platform for supporters to register and access information regarding meetings, rallies, and strategic planning.

Comrade Atoyebi stated that the website is essential for addressing the needs of supporters who cannot afford to travel to Abuja for regular meetings or registration, thereby keeping them informed. He noted that President Tinubu has numerous supporters across the country, many of whom may lack the time or means to travel regularly for meetings or to register their associations as directed by the president himself, who mandated that all support groups should be registered under the TSG umbrella to streamline their efforts for his re-election.

Comrade Atoyebi highlighted that the president has influenced numerous individuals directly or indirectly through his political strategy and leadership qualities as a mentor to many. He urged every member to seize this opportunity for better coordination, which will help reduce the logistical costs of travelling to Abuja.

He also mentioned, “With this innovation, every meeting of the support group will be published on the website, ensuring quick and easy access to information such as meeting times, rallies, planning sessions, and strategies. Meetings will also be conducted via Zoom, eliminating the need for support group leaders to travel to Abuja.”

The website, which is now live, allows individuals to register by selecting their organisation from a drop-down list. If the organisation is not listed, the individual cannot register, ensuring that only authorised groups can participate. Leaders of support groups can also register their groups and add members to their teams.

When asked about the registration process, the convener replied, “The registration process is straightforward, requiring individuals to provide their name, state, local government, phone number, email address, and voter’s card ID. Leaders, on the other hand, must provide their organisation’s name, headquarters, and other pertinent details.”

“The website also features a dashboard for leaders to manage their teams, add members, and assign roles. The super admin will verify all registrations before allowing leaders to log in and access the platform.”

Comrade Atoyebi emphasised that the website is an innovation that will enhance communication and coordination among support groups and encouraged all members to embrace this technology to reduce logistical costs and increase accessibility.

With this website, the TSG aims to create a unified platform for all support groups to collaborate on President Tinubu’s success and re-election. The donation from the BAT Ideological Group represents a significant step towards achieving this goal and is expected to impact the forthcoming election positively.
